Your Instructor
A board-certified nurse coach with over 13 years in nursing and a desire to improve the lives of nurses and our shared communities. This academy is the guide I wish I had when I was starting out in private practice. Get ready to love being a nurse again! You don’t have to do this alone. Let’s build something powerful—together. As much as I enjoy being a nurse, I balance that with enjoying walking outside, eating really good food (mostly veggies), and hanging out my little family and our bigger circle of friends and family.
Join the Academy and start building your private practice today. With the money back guarantee, you have nothing to lose and only your freedom to gain!
You've got questions. We've got answers.
It’s a course and coaching program designed to help you feel confident in starting your own private practice. You learn all the ins and outs of practicing on your own but with a community of nurses to provide support and to answer your questions.
Nope, that’s the best part! You just need to be licensed as a Registered Nurse. Unfortunately, as awesome as LPNs and LVNs are, most states don’t allow them to create the plan of care for a patient and that will stand in the way of having your own private practice.
As soon as you complete the program, you’ll have everything you need to start without having to do much work. Or you could start now and create everything from scratch on your own- got an extra 100+ hours lying around?
You can offer quite a bit and decide to be broad or niche down in what you offer. Many nurses consult with companies that run group homes and adult foster homes. They may care plan, write protocols, and train caregivers on specific diagnoses and/or interventions. They may delegate on nursing specific tasks like insulin administration or tube feedings. Some may attend medical appointments and help advocate for patient needs (like DME, service hours, etc.)
Absolutely! This can feel very daunting but is pretty easy. There’s just not enough nurses providing these services- so the demand is there.
I started my private practice to earn extra income and provide meaningful care. Bedside nursing can be draining due to time constraints and competing demands, making it hard to truly support patients. But in this role, you can manage patient care and implement systems that help both patients and caregivers succeed—making the work rewarding as well as profitable.
No! You will be doing assessments on certain patients. And if you delegate care on them, you might demonstrate the skill involved, but other than that, I never really had to provide direct care to patients. It’s all the best parts of nursing and none of the -ahem- less desirable parts.
You’ll have access to weekly coaching sessions. If you can’t attend due to your schedule, you can submit questions ahead of time and it’ll be covered and recorded for you to have access to at your leisure. There will also be a community of nurses like you both taking the course and another lifetime membership to the community of nurses who have finished the program and are running their own private practices. You can ask questions and brainstorm ideas for any obstacles you might run across. It’s like being on your own, but with a safety net of nurses who know what you’re going through.
Yes! But I do recommend at least a couple of years in practice. It helps if you have some experience with local resources for DME, wound care, respiratory care, etc. It would be hard as a new grad to have this type of experience unless you came from a home health or hospice background.
We discuss the pros and cons of different types of businesses as it relates to private practice, but cannot advise on your state laws or on your personal situation. If you have specific questions on taxes or business law, I would seek counsel with someone who has the right education and licensing.
Some aspects can be done in your home office, but for most niches, an in person assessment will be required.
Absolutely! You will need some basic tech skills like opening a PDF, email, etc. But nothing really more than that. The templates you receive as part of the program are all PDFs or word documents.
Roughly 2 hours a week should be more than enough. Some weeks might have some creative elements which some people whiz through and others may need a little more time. All together though, you’re saving hundreds of hours in not having to develop all of the templates and other supporting documents yourself!
Unfortunately, no. At this time we are prepared to take 1 time payments.
Yes, during the program you’ll have access to the other students and the weekly coaching. After the program you’ll have lifetime access to the community of Private Practice Nurses and the future educational opportunities. Collaboration baby! No eating of the young allowed!
This is the only program I am aware of that provides support, training, and practice in all the areas of being a Private Practice RN. It also is the only program to offer a community of other nurses who are walking the same path as you! All of your template supports are evidence based which gives you a competitive edge that your future patients will appreciate.
Absolutely! You have 2 weeks from purchasing the program to check out the first 2 modules. If you decide before the 2 weeks are up, that this is not something you want to do for whatever reason, you'll get your money back. After 2 weeks you get access to proprietary templates, forms, contracts, etc that have taken 100s of hours to develop. Once you have access to that intellectual property there's no way to undo your access. But I strive to offer real value to my fellow nurses, which is why I want you to have the opportunity to change your mind.
